What Information Should I Place On My Pet ID Tag

You all ready to buy your new pet tag but what you get engraved on the back. Below are some ideas of the information you should have on your new pet tag to ensure that if the unimaginable happens your pet has the best chance of being returned to you.

Small Tags are an inch wide (25mm X 25mm) and weigh 9 grams. These tags are best suited for small annd medium dogs (10kg/22lb) or large cats.

Due to the size of these tags, two lines of information is the most you could legibly fit on the pet tag. See the small pet tags below for some examples.

   Large Tagsare 1.25 inches wide(30mm X 30mm) and weigh 12 grams. These pet tags are recommended for all large dogs (over 10kg/22lb).


As these tags are bigger you can legibly get three lines of information engraved. See the large pet tags below for some examples.

Tips: All Engraving Is On The Back Of The Pet Tag

The more information you require the smaller the text will have to be to fit all the information on the back of the tags.

Try and use the most Important Information, Pets name & contact numbers, overall best information is to put on a pet tag is the pets name and two contact numbers.
